My husband and I have stayed in a lot of New York City hotels and we found this hotel to be in the top 5. The location is great for us because our daughter's family lives nearby. There's a lot of things to see and do within walking distance. The room was very comfortable and very clean. Loved the decor, too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

We were very concerned about finding a clean hotel to stay for 6 days, while I recovered from having surgery. We also had our 13 year old daughter with us ,and were worried she would be happy for that long staying in a hotel. Our rooms were cleaned daily and staff was very accommodating with my needs. My husband and daughter loved the breakfast buffet every morning and were able to bring me breakfast too.Other than me having to explain the smell of pot from our neighbors, to my 13 yr old,Overall we were pretty happy with our room and hotel staff.

This hotel was perfect. Our room overlooked the Hudson with a fabulous view (room 1423) I think we got this good deal because we had requested a room with 2 doubles rather than a king. It was either the only room like this or there were few. The teens stayed up late watching tv and we snoozed without hearing a sound. They slept in the living room on the best pull out queen sofa bed I have ever seen. Nice and firm. No complaints from picky teens. Having the breakfast buffet included was another bonus. One afternoon it was raining and we felt safe letting the kids go to the movie attached to the hotel. We LOVED the area. The Riverside walkway along the Hudson was wonderful and close to Battery Park and the ferries. The subway to midtown was easy. Teen shopping in Soho at the Amsterday store was great!!! Very trendy ....yet inexpensive pricing (2 stops on subway #1 A ). Do not miss Ellen's Stardust Diner....big hit with the teens. Future broadway stars sing and serve. Cute young performers are your wait staff. Did other traditional sites. We got in studio tickets on the internet for Good Morning America and that was great. R R is the best!!! She was lovely to us and the rest of the audience. The hotel is in a quieter, nicer, safer section of NYC. Times Square was a jungle and we loved the oasis. Wish we had planned to spend more time during the week and less on weekend because of the crowds in midtown. The teens also loved Mary Poppins. We did the matinee. The highlight for me was the trip to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Wish we had planned far enough in advance for crown tickets.

This was the perfect hotel for a family for our week long vacation. The Suite was good, we did need to request extra blankets for the pull out sofa bed. The breakfast was spectacular and the cooks did remember our faces and preferred orders each morning. The gym was nice, there are not that many amenities for children inside the hotel, internet had to be paid for daily and the business center restricted children. Overall, we will stay at this hotel again! It is located just enough away from the hustle and bustle to be comfortable and still be in the mix of things.
